This is your chance to explore new and emerging technologies from Twitter to YouTube and discover methods to help keep customers coming to your library - virtually and face-to-face.  In this full-day workshop, presented by Linda W. Braun, LEO: Librarians and Educators Online, you'll hear about technologies, test them out for yourself (during afternoon hands-on sessions) and come up with a plan to start using at least one new technology in your library the very next day.

Nancy Rea, Deputy Director/Head of Library Development, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, is the program contact person. Lunch will be provided.

Registration deadline: July 9. Registration limit: 30 per session.

This workshop is open to:

  1. Massachusetts public library directors and staff serving communities of 25,000 or less who attended one of the Gates Rural Library Sustainability Project workshops provided throughout the state in 2006 and early 2007.
  2. Library directors and staff of public libraries serving communities of 25,000 or less.
  3. Each library serving communities of 25,000 or less that is represented at this workshop will receive a $100 stipend to provide library coverage.
