FROM
THE SOUTH:
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (Route 90) west to Exit 2 in Lee. Take
Route 20 north. Route 7 will merge with Route 20 after a few miles in
Lenox. Follow Route 7 north into Pittsfield. In Pittsfield, Route 7
will merge with Route 9. Take Route 9 east until it merges with Route
8. Take Route 8 north 10 miles into Adams. Route 8 is Park Street when
it meets Route 116. Turn left onto Route 8 /Park Street. The Adams Free
Library will be .25 mile up on your left, the yellow brick building
beside the statue of President William McKinley.
FROM THE SOUTHEAST:
Take Route 20 west into Becket. Take Route 8 north 30 miles into Adams.
When Route 8 meets Route 116, Route 8 becomes Park Street. Turn left
onto Route 8 / Park Street. The Adams Free Library will be .25 mile
up on your left, the yellow bick building beside the statue of President
William McKinley.
FROM THE EAST:
From Northampton, take Route 9 west to Route 8A in Windsor. Take Route
8A north to Route 116. Take Route 116 west into Adams. Route 116 ends
at Route 8. Go straight ahead on Route 8 north (Park Street). The Adams
Free Library will .25 mile up on your left, the yellow brick building
beside the statue of President William McKinley.
FROM THE NORTH:
From Greenfield, take Route 2 west into North Adams. Take Route 8 south
into Adams. After about 2 miles, you will past Adams Memorial Middle
School on your right, Brooks Pharmacy on your left and two red brick
Catholic churches on your right. Just past the second church you will
see a statue facing away from you. The Adams Free Library is the yellow
brick building to the right of the statue.
FROM WILLIAMSTOWN:
Take Route 2 east into North Adams. Follow directions from paragrah
above.
PARKING:
Free parking is available on the Maple Street and Melrose Street just
north of the Library, and in the parking lot one block east at the intersection
of Hoosac & Depot Streets (behind the Adams Cooperative Bank), next
to the Berkshire Visitors Bureau and the Adams Internists building.
