From
north and west of Springfield:
-
Take
Route 91 south to Springfield.

Take
Exit #1 (Forest Park, Longmeadow, Route 5 south). Continue
straight on Route 5 South through 2 quick traffic lights after exiting
Route 91.

At
the next traffic light on Route 5, turn left onto Converse Street.
Continue on Converse St. for approximately 2 1/2 miles until you
come to a stop sign at a "T"
intersection (Dwight Road).

Take
a right onto Dwight Road to the traffic light.

Turn
left at this traffic light and within a few yards of the light you
are in East Longmeadow
on Maple Street.

Continue
on Maple Street for 1 1/2 miles, past the high school on the right
and a blinking traffic light.

The
library is located on the left just before the rotary.

There
is sign with the library logo at the comer. Take a left into
the parking lot in front of the library.
From
east of Springfield:
-
Take
the Mass Pike (Route 90) west to Exit #7, Ludlow.

After
exiting the turnpike, turn left on Route 21. Follow Route
21 through Ludlow, (several sets of lights) and turn right onto
a small bridge into Springfield.

Turn
right off the bridge and left at the first traffic light, still
on Route 21. Follow Route 21, now called Parker Street, and
cross Route 20 (this a major intersection with lights at Boston
Road)

Travel
approximately 3 miles on Route 21 through several traffic lights,
crossing Wilbraham Road (intersects with Parker Street).
There is a Mobil station on the right

Continue
straight on Route 21, which shortly becomes Cooley Street
-
Continuing
on Cooley Street will bring you into the center of East Longmeadow
-
Bear
left at stop sign (there is another Mobil station on right), heading
toward E.L. Town Hall (large brownstone building) and Longmeadow.
The Library is located just beyond the Town Hall
-
Take
an immediate right into municipal parking located beside and in
back of the Library
