Directions to New Marlborough Town Library

1 Mill River - Gt. Barrington Road– Mill River– 413/229-6668

From Route 7 in Great Barrington:

Take Routes 23 east/ 183 south (State Road) toward Monterey. At this traffic light you should notice blue traffic signs to Butternut Ski Area.

In 1.8 miles from Route 7 Butternut Ski Area is on the right. Continue uphill half a mile past Butternut and turn right onto Lake Buel Road, which comes up suddenly after a bend in the road.

The Turning Point Inn is on the corner of Lake Buel Road. Along the way at the town line the street name changes to Mill River-Great Barrington Road.

In 2.8 miles from the Turning Point Inn bear right at a set of old-fashioned white road signs, staying with Mill River - Gt. Barrington Road.

Within half a mile you should see a brightly colored winery off to the right on the corner of Knight Road. Continue past it for another 1.4 miles and bear left at a grassy triangle which has more white road signs on its extreme left side.

Soon there is a wide stone wall on the left and gray farm buildings on the right. Go to a T intersection just under 2 miles ahead, and the New Marlborough Town Library, a brick building with white pillars, is on the corner.

Parking is available around the corner to the right.
