The Western Massachusetts Regional Library System (WMRLS) is pleased to provide you with the following information on membership in WMRLS. Participation by all eligible libraries in Regional programs and services will increase cooperation and communication and result in improved library services for area residents. We would like to emphasize that there is no charge to become a member of WMRLS or to receive basic services.

Eligibility Requirements for Participation as a Member

Your library must meet these statewide requirements in order to become a member.

Membership Agreement - (to be submitted

Must be completed, signed and dated by the Librarian and Appropriate Authority (the person authorized to enter into agreements on behalf of your institution).

Certification of Membership Eligibility - (to be submitted) 

Validation of compliance with each membership provision must be indicated with check marks and signed and dated by both the Librarian and the Appropriate Authority

Directory Information  (to be submitted)

Must be completed for communication and planning purposes

Database Access Registration Form - (to be submitted)

By completing this form members are entitled to a variety of Statewide Licensed Databases including InfoTrac® (Contemporary Authors, Contemporary Literary Criticism Select, Expanded Academic, General Business File, Health Reference Center), The Boston Globe and Electric Library.  For more details visit WMRLS Online Databases Page.

National Interlibrary Loan Code for the United States

Regional members must adhere to this code.

Four items - the Membership Agreement, Certification of Membership Eligibility, Directory Information, and the Database Access Registration Form - must be completed and returned to:  Western Massachusetts Regional Library System - Membership Agreement - PO Box 609 - South Deerfield, MA 01373-0609.

Please be aware that some Regional services are subject to meeting certain criteria.
