The Western Massachusetts Regional Library System (WMRLS) maintains collections in an effort to ensure that member libraries have access to materials that meet the needs of their users. These collections are available primarily through the public library bookmobile program. |

Bookmobile Service to Public Libraries |

| The purpose of the WMRLS bookmobile program is to supplement the materials collections of small public libraries. This service is available to public libraries in communities of fewer than 25,000 residents. The bookmobile also provides direct public service in three small municipalities which do not have local public libraries. | |

This program is intended as a supplement to the collections of small public libraries; there is no attempt to provide specific titles, best sellers or reference materials that are likely to be needed as part of a library’s permanent collection.
